CEDAR PARK, Texas – The Texas Stars 2023-2024 season was a memorable one. The Star’s 15th Anniversary season had many franchise and personal achievements. Logan Stankoven was named the winner of the Dudley (Red) Garrett Memorial Award as the AHL’s most outstanding rookie. Stankoven recorded 57 points in just 47 games in his first professional season before getting called up to Dallas. Despite spending the final two months of the season in the NHL, Stankoven finished first among AHL rookies in points and third in both goals and assists. Stankoven skated in the 2024 AHL All-Star Classic and was voted to both the AHL All-Rookie Team and the AHL First All-Star Team.
Mavrik Bourque scored 77 points in 71 games to become the second-ever Texas Star awarded the John B. Sollenberger Trophy as the AHL scoring champion. Bourque was also awarded the Les Cunningham Award as the AHL’s most valuable player and the President’s Award for overall excellence.
The Texas Stars organization recorded a record-breaking 13 sellout crowds while also taking home the AHL’s Western Conference fan experience excellence award and the Marketing Department Of The Year.
