SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Friday night, the San Diego Gulls hosted division frontrunner the Tucson Roadrunners for their first game of February. The Gulls posted six wins and four losses in January and currently sit in 9th place in the AHL Pacific Division.
Austin Poganski put the Roadrunners on the board with a goal at the 2:48 mark in the first period. The Gulls tied it up in the second period, with Jaxsen Wiebe scoring on Dylan Wells at the 8:25 mark. The game-winning goal came in the third period from Tuscon’s Curtis Douglas, assisted by Cameron Hebig and Travis Barron. Dylan Wells boasted 35 saves on 36 shots, while Calle Clang had 23 saves on 25 shots. Tucson defeated San Diego 2-1.
