GLENS FALLS, N.Y. – Saturday evening was Country Night at Cool Insuring Arena, where the visiting Wheeling Nailers took on the Adirondack Thunder for the second of a three-game series. The scoring started early, with the Thunder putting a point on the board at 1:40 into the period. The Nailers would come back during the rest of the period, netting two goals.
The second and third periods would see more scoring from both teams. Nailers’ Cole Tymkin is the first player this season to get a Gordie Howe Hat Trick (a goal, an assist, and a fight), and the Thunders Isaiah Fox found the back of the net for his first pro point. Wheeling took a 6-4 victory to split the weekend series prior to the third game the following day.
