PHOTOS: Worcester Railers vs. Florida Everblades – 02/23/2024

ESTERO, Fla.- The Florida Everblades didn’t need the Force to win game two against the visiting Worcester Railers on Friday night. Several characters from the Star Wars Universe descended on Hertz Arena Friday night as the Everblades hosted Star Wars night. A sell-out crowd cheered early and often as the Everblades, wearing specialty Star Wars-themed jerseys, scored a goal in each period, resulting in a 3-1 victory. Everblades captain Joe Pendenza scored an empty net goal in the third period, giving him 17 goals for the season and 99 as an Everblade. Goaltender David Tendeck made 35 saves in the win. He made his first home-game start with the Everblades since joining the team via a trade earlier this month. The win moved him to 2-0-0. The Everblades close out the three-game series against the Railers Saturday night during First Responders Night at Hertz Arena.
