Winnipeg Jets Recall Parker Ford

The Winnipeg Jets have recalled forward Parker Ford from the Manitoba Moose earlier today. Ford last suited up for the Moose on February 16th as he’s been out with an injury since that time.

The 24-year-old forward made his NHL debut earlier this season in Boston, where he scored his first career NHL goal against the Bruins. Ford played two more games after that but did not add to his point totals.

In his 2024-25 campaign, the Wakefield, Rhode Island-born Ford posted 21 points (14G, 7A) in 41 games played with the Manitoba Moose. While his third professional season of hockey was shortened due to injury, it was still impactful.

In a media scrum, Dave Minuk of Illegal Curve asked the Moose coaching staff at the end of March if Ford could play a game, and they responded with some hope that Ford might see a game or two.

That didn’t happen as the AHL season concluded and Ford continued to rehab from his injury.

Ford was seen last week skating at the Hockey for All Centre with the Winnipeg Jets’ 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs Taxi Squad, and it signalled a positive development for the young forward.

While it is unlikely Ford suits up for a game, he will continue to skate with the team and the taxi squad until the conclusion of the Winnipeg Jets’ 2025 Playoff run.

The Winnipeg Jets are currently battling it out in game one of the 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs second round against the Dallas Stars. Game two between the teams is set for Friday, May 9th. Puck drop is set for 8:30 pm CST.
