ECHL: Norfolk Admirals Transactions | 04/05/2024

The Norfolk Admirals announced that they have signed center Austen Keating to an Amateur Tryout Agreement. Keating spent the last seasons playing for the University of New Brunswick in USports, where he put up 44 goals and 57 assists for 101 points in 71 games, including 23 goals and 27 assists for 50 points in 30 games this season. The 6’0, 172lb center made his professional debut on Wednesday as he signed at PTO with the Chicago Wolves but has since been released and is expected to make his Admirals debut tonight vs Reading Royals. Norfolk has also activated defenseman Dakota Krebs and Keegan Iverson. Krebs has one assist in three games with the Admirals after signing an ATO with the Admirals last month. Keegan Iverson returns to the Admirals lineup after missing Wednesday’s game vs Reading; he has six goals and five assists for 11 points, along with 149 penalty minutes in 42 games this season with Norfolk.

Forwards Danny Katic and Mathieu Roy will be placed on reserve prior to Wednesday’s game. Katic has 24 goals and 24 assists for 48 points, along with 122 minutes in penalties in 59 games for the Ads this season. The Admirals captain has played in 58 games this season, putting up 14 goals and 17 assists for 31 points. The Manitoba Moose recalled defenseman Dmitri Kuzmin as he’s split this season between Manitoba and Norfolk. In 24 games with Norfolk, he’s put up two goals and seven assists for nine points, and with Manitoba has one goal and two assists for three points in 15 games.
