ECHL: Thunder Add Brendan Less, Bring Back Jozefek

The Adirondack Thunder announced two signings on Thursday evening as they will be bringing back forward Grant Jozefek, and they’ve added defenceman Brendan Less. This now brings the Thunder roster to five, four forwards, and a defencemen.

Jozefek was one of the later additions to the Thunder as he joined the team in November and more than earned himself a contract for this season. In 68 games with the Thunder, he put up 18 goals and 33 assists for 51 points during the regular season and added a goal and three assists during the Kelly Cup Playoffs. Heading into next season, I expect Jozefek to be on the Thunders top line. “He has the potential to be a point-per-game player next season,” said Head Coach Pete MacArthur. Jozefek is a small winger who isn’t afraid to shoot the puck, and at times last year also showed that he won’t back down from a battle.

Less joins the Thunder after spending last season with the Iowa Heartlanders, putting up four assists in 22 games. He’s listed at 5’11, but MacArthur said he’s probably closer to 6’1, 170lbs. “Brendan Less is a 200-foot defenceman who has the ability to play in all situations,” said Head Coach Pete MacArthur. Prior to joining the Heartlanders last season, he played his final season of eligibility at Quinnipiac and played four games with the Worcester Railers.
