MN Wild Swap Out Iowa Wild Forwards

The Minnesota Wild announced today that they have reassigned forward Sammy Walker to the Iowa Wild and recalled forward Adam Raska to Minnesota. Raska was acquired along with a fifth-round pick in the 2026 NHL Draft from the San Jose Sharks in exchange for defenseman Calen Addison. This trade happened on November 8th, the same day that the Wild acquired defenseman Zach Bogosian from the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Raska has played 20 games with the Iowa Wild this season and has one goal. He’s also racked up 61 penalty minutes, ranking 11th in the AHL in PIMs. Raska has previously played eight games in the NHL with the Sharks and collected 28 hits but no points. During his AHL career, which has spanned four seasons, he has 26 career points (10 goals and 16 assists). Raska will wear No. 51 on his sweater when he’s with Minnesota.

Walker rejoins the Iowa Wild after two games with the Minnesota Wild. During this NHL stint, Walker spent just over 8:30 minutes on the ice each game with no points recorded. Walker has played 28 games with Iowa this season and has 19 points (five goals and 14 assists). Walker ranks third on the team in points and second in assists.

The Minnesota Wild travel to play the Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday night. The Iowa Wild play Friday night without the AHL players who are still with Minnesota (Dakota Mermis, Zane McIntyre, Jake Lucchini, Daemon Hunt, and Nic Petan). Vinni Lettieri is also with Minnesota but is currently on Injured Reserve with a lower-body injury.
