Opinion: The Need for a Hall of Fans at the Hockey Hall of Fame

As everyone already knows, hockey players, management, writers, and broadcasters are all an integral part of hockey.

The kind of people mentioned above are the keepers of the flame when it comes to our game. They help push the sport forward, put the game in a positive light, and do all they can to show why hockey is the greatest game in the world.

With that said, I think we also know that fans play a huge role in hockey. Unfortunately, I think the fans get overlooked when it comes to how important they are when it comes to promoting and growing the sport.

I believe that the Hockey Hall of Fame can help change this. In fact, I think they can play a part in putting fans at the forefront and making people realize that they are just as important to the sport as players, management, writers, and media are.

It would be great if the HHOF could at least consider having some kind of hall of fans. The Pro Football Hall of Fame does something like this, which I think is great and shows just how much they mean to the popularity of the NFL and football as a whole.

Having something like this would give a special nod to the people who care about, love, and show their passion for the sport of hockey every single day. In fact, having something like this would be one way to show that hockey truly cares about its fans.

I know that this would be something outside the box for the HHOF. However, should they do something like this, it would be a nice way to recognize the people who care about our great game.
