CALGARY, AB – Friday night, the Calgary Wranglers opened Round 2 of the Playoffs against the Coachella Valley Firebirds.
The first period saw open ice action, with no goals from either Team. The Teams exchanged goals in the second period, with the Wranglers’ Adam Klapka and the Firebird’s Ryker Evans hitting the twine.  The Wranglers moved ahead in the third period with a goal by Mitch McLain, followed by two empty net goals by Sam Morton and Yan Kuznetsov for a 4-1 win for the Wranglers. Game 2 of the series continues on Sunday at 4:00 PM Mountain time.
