Wichita Thunder Forward Headed To Europe

Today, the Wichita Thunder announced star forward Peter Bates has been suspended by the team with his intention to pursue hockey opportunities in Europe. This announcement is coming just days before the February 15th Overseas Deadline at 3 PM EST.

This is a significant loss for the Thunder as Bates currently sits 7th in ECHL scoring with 50 points in 45 games(23 goals, 27 assists) and was their ’23-24 ECHL All-Star representative.

Amidst this news, the Thunder also announced the addition of Defenseman Lleyton Moore, assigned by AHL Tuscon Roadrunners; Forward Bradley Marek assigned by AHL San Jose Barracuda; Goaltender Beck Warm assigned by AHL San Jose Barracuda
