CEDAR PARK, Texas – Saturday night, the visiting Manitoba Moose defeated the Texas Stars 4-1 on fan appreciation night in front of a record-breaking 13th sold-out crowd of the season.

Antonio Stranges put the Stars on the board first 4:31 into the first period when he put a shot from the high slot past Moose goaltender Thomas Milic, making it 1-0. Manitoba tied the game 1-1 when C.J. Suess fired a wrist shot from the right-wing circle past Ben Kraws. Manitoba took the 2-1 lead a little over 8 minutes later when Carson Golder was left alone at the top of the crease and buried a puck low blocker side on Kraws.

Despite 18 combined shots and 1 power play apiece neither team could find the back of the net in the second period.

Manitoba started the third period with a goaltender change when Brett Brochu made his Moose debut in relief of Milic. Brad Lambert added to Manitoba’s lead with a snap shot that beat Kraws high glove side. Axel Jonsson-Fjällby would score the last goal of the game when he deflected a slap shot from Colby Barlow past Kraws making the final 4-1.

Thomas Milic stopped 22 of 23 shots for the win.
Brett Brochu stopped 6 of 6 shots in relief of Milic.
Ben Kraws stopped 29 of 33 shots for the loss.
